Araphoe Basin and Loveland Pass Village Real Estate

Also known as A-basin, Arapaho Basin is one of the hidden jewels of Summit County. Although unlike local ski resorts Keystone, and Breckenridge, A-basin doesn’t have any homes directly off of its ski hills. The real estate of the Loveland Pass Village—which is located just minutes from slopes by foot—is largely made up of cabin-style and single-family detached homes.

Sandwiched in between Arapahoe Basin, the Loveland Ski Area, Mount Sniktau, and Grizzly Peak, the homes in Loveland Pass Village enjoy spectacular North Keystone views and are completely surrounded by mountains. Each of the homes in Loveland Pass Village is unique, and with the village being one of the first subdivisions for single-family homes, the homes are excellently located.

Unlike other areas of Summit County, especially the likes of Breckenridge, the homes in Keystone’s Loveland Pass tend to be more affordable. Instead of costing millions of dollars, a three bedroom home here can set you back as little as $700,000. Another bonus of purchasing a home in this North Keystone community is that there's no home owner association fees to pay. The homes for sale in Loveland Pass Village tend to have a more rustic feel than their counterparts in other Summit County resorts. However, many of the cabin-like abodes have been updated over the years and feature pleasant kitchens, indoor saunas, a garage and an outdoor hot tub with mountain views.

Araphoe Basin Ski Resort

Situated less than two hours from the Denver International Airport, Araphoe Basin is “The Legend” of Summit County. With a summit elevation in excess of 13,000 feet, the mountain offers a challenge to even the most skilled of skiers and snowboarders. A-basin has over 100 trails, many of which feature high alpine bowls and deep powder stashes. Taking to the steep chutes and glades are a must on pow-days. A-basin has plenty of groomed runs for cruising on Bluebird days too. The mountain is beloved by locals as it has the longest season of any of Summit County’s resorts, opening in mid-to-late October and closing in early-to-mid June. One of the newest expansions to the mountain was the creation of the Montezuma Bowl, which increased terrain of A-basin 80% and opened 400-acres of extra terrain at the back of Arapahoe Mountain. The 36 runs of the bowl are a mixture of black, double black and blue runs, and feature chutes, cornices, wide-open bowls and natural glades.

Fast, tricky, and filled with pockets of trees, the bowl provides a remote, backcountry vibe that is best left for those who are intermediate or above skiers and snowboarders.
